During this FINAL stage of NORMAL PsychoSexual Development,
— Oriented on 'Genitals' (the focus of 'Pleasurable feelings')
— Erotic Object: More Genitals and Orgasm than Auto-Erotic
— The libido or Sexuality focus is turned to the ends of reproduction
— This stage begins during Puberty(Middle School) but lasts throughout the rest of a person's life, ranging from 12y-o to adulthood
— Ego and SuperEgo get fully formed and functioning, meanwhile getting integrated and unified with the ID urges
— Younger children are ruled by the ID, which demands immediate satisfaction of the most basic needs and wants, seeking 'Sexual Satisfaction' in relationships while the Teens and Seniors as age grows, are able to balance their most basic urges from ID call against the need to conform to the demands of reality(EGO call) and social norms(SuperEgo call)
What happens to the beginning of the Genital Stage?
— The onset of Puberty(Right after boys' Spermatorrhea or girls' Menophania is initiated) causes the libido(sexual energy) to become REACTIVE AGAIN ever since been suppressed during stage 4 (Latent Period)
— Individual develops a strong sexual interest in the opposite sex supposed a normal development cycle(the most impressive First Love Mechanism)
— Libido Focus on /interest in the 'welfare of others' grows(Altruism)
— Goal of psychosexual development at this stage:Establish a well-balanced, warm and caring character and personality; if fail at this stage or in the earlier 4 ones, the rest of the adulthood life will repeat the 'Fixation' where it got stuck in any form of disguise between the various life areas.
